RingCentral has a solid product and it is continuously working to improve its customer service. It provides a lot of value for your money, giving you 700 free combined pages for $8.89 per month, and if you prepay for a year, your monthly rate comes out to $7.11. RingCentral's customer service made significant strides and answered all of our questions accurately last time we tested them. RingCentral also offers a 30-day free fax trial.

MetroFax is an excellent digital fax service and most of the feedback we have receive rates it as 5 out of 5 stars. You get 500 combined pages for $7.95 per month, which is a great value compared to our Market Standard of 300 combined pages for $9.95 per month. You may also prepay for a year to bring the rate down even more. MetroFax's customer support was very knowledgeable and swift to answer questions. MetroFax offers a 30-day free fax trial.

Nextiva's virtual fax product is good if you need a local fax number at significant value. The company has experienced multiple outages, however, and has added up to four additional servers recently to combat the issue. Nextiva has a very low monthly fee of $8.95 for a combined 500 pages. In addition, you have the option to prepay for a year and bring your effective monthly fee to $4.95. Nextiva's customer support was both knowledgeable and responsive. The company offers a 30-day free internet fax trial to test out its service.

Conclusion

MyFax has a user-friendly online interface and competitive pricing, although it has had at least four service outages since June, 2011. At $10 per month for 200 incoming and 100 outgoing pages, MyFax is a good option for those who fax regularly. Prepaying for a year will bring the monthly rate down to $9.17. While MyFax customer support has historically been very helpful, we've received lots of negative feedback about it as of late. MyFax has a 30-day free online fax trial period.

eFax has a good online fax service with the most subscribers of any rival, but its pricing is on the high end. Compared to our market standard of $10 per month for 300 free combined pages, eFax costs $16.95 per month for 150 free incoming and 150 free outgoing pages. We've received a great deal of negative feedback about eFax having poor customer support and it being difficult to cancel your service. eFax offers a 30-day free eFax trial.

RapidFAX is a decently priced online fax service, but the feedback we have received from users of the product has been very negative. Many users have complained about lost faxes as well as being billed after canceling. RapidFAX has a hidden fee that charges you for storing faxes online for more than 30 days. However, at $9.95 per month for 300 combined pages, RapidFAX's pricing is right in line with our Market Standard. Customer support was thorough, but unfortunately, it didn't answer all of our test questions correctly. RapidFAX offers a 30-day free internet fax trial of its service.

FaxAge's customer service is excellent and very friendly.

FaxBetter doesn't offer a free trial but offers a free account with extreme limitations (you can receive but not send faxes, and you must receive a fax every 7 days or your account expires).
