HelloSign, integrates with Gmail

February 18, 2013/in Online Fax /by Emilie

Back in 2012, the founders of HelloFax started HelloSign, an electronic signature service that keeps track of all of the documents that you sign. Recently, HelloSign has integrated with Gmail, making it easier than ever to electronically sign faxes and send them right back. HelloSign for Gmail is a plugin that lets you add your electronic signature to a document without ever leaving Gmail’s interface. When a document is attached to an email, the plugin gives you the option to “Sign”, right next to the options to “View” and “Download”. This opens a separate window side of Gmail that will allow you to add your electronic signature to the document. It also allows you to edit the document as needed.  After signing the document, you just need to hit “Save and attach to email” and you’re ready to send the document back. February 28, 2011/in Online Fax /by Emilie

The software-as-a-service (SaaS) telecom giant, RingCentral, has come out with one of its most handy features for online fax yet. With its release of completely free apps for the iPhone, Android, and Blackberry operating systems, RingCentral has opened up a way to receive and forward faxes from wherever you are. Whether you’re connected to a Wi-Fi or 3G/4G network, getting a fax is as simple as opening up the app and checking your inbox. While it doesn’t allow for the scanning and sending of faxes, you can still forward faxes you receive to other fax numbers through the app. The other features of RingCentral’s smartphone apps are geared toward its VoIP and virtual PBX customers. These include making long distance calls over Wi-Fi or 3G/4G networks (instead of racking up charges) as well as viewing call logs and your phone directory to dial people “with a single touch.” All-in-all, this…

November 9, 2010/in Online Fax /by Reece

eFax has released a new iPhone app allowing users of eFax to both send and receive faxes from their phone. This app is only one part of eFax’s new Next initiative, which aims to enhance technology solutions for businesses. The Next initiative improves not only the eFax mobile solutions, but also improves security, enhances the interface to manage your online faxes, and adds other new product integration to the eFax brand. One of the most notable capabilities of the iPhone app is that it allows you to create faxes by taking pictures of documents with your iPhone. The app will then combine the images and send them out like any other faxed document. If you’d rather fax the documents through email attachments, you can do so using the documents you’ve created in the app. When sending faxes on your iPhone, you can now use your existing phone contact list to populate cover sheets that you…

MyFax’s vice president of marketing, Steve Adams, discussed the app’s benefits, stating that the “new application brings the quick and easy access to fax they love from their current MyFax service to their phone, without compromising the quality they’ve come to expect from us.” He went on to explain that “it also gives mobile workers peace of mind that important documents, like contracts, can be transmitted confidentially – they are no longer at the mercy of the local courier or hotel business center.” Just like MyFax’s online fax…
