UnityFax Conclusion

UnityFax has a few drawbacks, but their product and customer support are solid and they continue to make improvements. UnityFax's pricing is right in line with our market standard, and they include unlimited incoming pages and 250 outgoing pages. UnityFax's phone customer support number didn't work, but their responses via email were very thorough. UnityFax doesn't offer a free trial, but its sister site FaxORama.com allows you to send two free faxes per day (max. 5 pages each).

UnityFax's monthly fee is $9.99 with a start-up fee of $1.99 and no hidden fees. UnityFax does not combine the pages in their plan and allots an unlimited number of free incoming and 250 free outgoing pages per month, which is more than the Market Standard of 300 combined pages. However, UnityFax does not offer a free trial.

Faxing with UnityFax cannot be done through their online interface and must be done via email. You can send an unlimited number of pages through UnityFax as long as you keep the total disk space under 30 MB. You can fax up to 12 recipients at one time. You cannot preview your fax before you send. The 30 days of online fax storage is free. Six months of storage costs $9.99. 12 months of storage costs $17.99 and 24 months of storage costs $29.99. This is nearly equal to the Market Standard of free fax storage for 30 days. You can also receive and send faxes with four email addresses on the service.

UnityFax offers local numbers in 50 states. In addition, the service has (800), (866), (877), and (888) toll-free numbers available for no extra charge per month. UnityFax's phone number for customer support does not work, but they have very high quality email customer support, responding in fewer than 30 minutes with a full paragraph explanation.
